The Lost Rocket Redux is a hybrid surfboard born from a broken blank and the brains of Beschen (Shane) and Budroe. The original Rocket was simply a board for baby Beschen (Noah) to learn to surf on. Once Shane surfed it, everything changed, and he felt compelled to bring us his fabulous discovery to be refined. Happy accidents have been a staple of surfboard progression from the very beginning. When Matt Biolos started fine-tuning and building it for the kids, we knew they had something special. Fast forward a year to the 2009 video release of “5’5 Redux”. The ROCKET was the star of the show, ridden by a parade of guest rippers who unleashed the little weapon. From bros to pros, the ROCKET soon became a worldwide hit, enjoyed by surfers of all shapes, sizes, and skill sets. Now, more than a decade after its initial release, the ROCKET is back. A reincarnated Redux for the new generation to enjoy another round of fun… The ROCKET REDUX.
We’ve made every effort to retain all the details and magic of the original ROCKET design:
The entry rocker is extremely low and fast, countered by a hyper-extended tail curve for instant drive and playful, precise turning. The deeper concave provides lift and liveliness. The wide tail and bullet-style parallel outline deliver plenty of speed and hold. The diamond tail adds extra bite and control.
The ROCKET REDUX stays true to the original ROCKET, but with a significant performance boost.
