The Lost Rocket Redux is a hybrid surfboard born from a broken blank and the brains of Beschen (Shane) and Budroe. The original Rocket was simply a board for baby Beschen (Noah) to learn to surf on. Once Shane surfed it, everything changed, and he felt compelled to bring us his fabulous discovery to be refined. Happy accidents have been a cornerstone of surfboard progression from the very beginning. When Matt Biolos began to tune and build it for the kids, we knew they had something special. Fast forward a year to the 2009 video release of “5’5 Redux.” The ROCKET was the star of the show, under the feet of a parade of guest rippers who unleashed the little weapon. From bros to pros, the ROCKET quickly became a worldwide hit, enjoyed by surfers of all shapes, sizes, and skill levels. Now, more than a decade after its initial launch, the ROCKET is back. A reincarnated Redux for the new generation to enjoy another round of fun… The ROCKET REDUX.
We’ve done our best to retain all the details and the magic of the original ROCKET design:
The entry rocker is extremely low and fast, countered by a hyper-extended tail curve for instant drive and playful, precise turns. The deeper concave provides lift and liveliness. The wide tail and bullet-style parallel outline deliver plenty of speed and hold. The diamond tail adds extra bite and grip.
The ROCKET REDUX stays true to the original ROCKET, but with a significant boost in performance.
CWT Carbon Wrap Technology construction:
The patented Carbon Wrap technology makes it possible to build incredibly light, fast, and responsive surfboards without sacrificing durability. The EPS core has no wooden stringer, which is replaced by carbon strips. These strips run from the nose of the board on the bottom side to the tail on the deck side, creating a unique flex that translates into speed and drive in the water. The board is then laminated with epoxy resin and biaxial fiberglass.
The LOST Carbon Wrap boards are manufactured in the Basque Country by the Olatu factory, owner of the Pukas brand, which also produces boards for the prestigious Al Merrick Channel Islands label.
Paint and tinted resin options:
The board can be decorated following the designs on the website lostsurfboards.net. If you’d like a special design, choose the appropriate option, and in the “Customize your product” tab, indicate the design reference and the desired colors.
Custom dimensions:
You can customize this board with the length, width, and thickness you want. To do this, select the “Custom” option in the size dropdown menu and enter the desired dimensions in the “Customize your product” tab.
