The Slater Designs Boss Up surfboard is Kelly Slater’s first high-performance midlength, designed in collaboration with Dan Mann and Kevin Schulz. Regarded as the most versatile board in the Slater Designs range, it combines maneuverability, speed, and control to perform from small waves to powerful barrels.
This model is the bigger brother of the S Boss, with a longer shape and larger dimensions that deliver more drive and versatility in all conditions. It’s the perfect one-board quiver, ideal for travel and tackling any wave with maximum performance.
It is recommended to ride it with +13 liters of volume compared to your regular shortboard, set up with the KS1 5-fin template in quad to unlock its full potential.

Ibolic Epoxy Construction:
Firewire's Ibolic construction brings together the best of the Helium and LFT constructions. The EPS foam core has a 18mm thick high-density foam stringer, and the edges have this same high-density foam, but 16mm thick. The result is a surfboard with the stiffness and strength of the LFT construction, but with the flex and reactivity of the Helium construction.
