The Sub Scorcher-STING is a surfboard that combines a relaxed rocker with a conservative outline and increased volume, designed to deliver an easy and fun surfing experience. Its small-wave-specific design features a single concave that turns into a vee through the tail, making it easier to maneuver and plane in softer conditions.
Initially popularized by talented surfer Kolohe Andino, the original Sub Scorcher version became a resounding success. Its mellow rocker and wide, stable outline allow for easy paddling and effortless glide, making it one of the best options for those looking for a modern board.
Starting from the original swallow tail shape of the Sub Scorcher, the STING design was introduced, which adds a bit of width in the center and more rocker on the rails, along with a reduced area in the tail, beginning about 45 cm from the end of the board. This sharp reduction in width enables quick, radical turns in tight sections as well as on open wave faces. With generous dimensions and solid volume, the SUB SCORCHER-STING is a playful, user-friendly performance board for everyone, perfect for initiating radical maneuvers with ease.
Light Speed Epoxy Construction:
LightSpeed is a surfboard construction patented by LOST that uses lightweight EPS foam and high-strength epoxy resin. It combines Rapid-Reflex carbon fiber and vibration-damping Innegra fibers with a fine fiberglass cloth.
Reinforcement patches in the tail transfer energy more efficiently to the rails. It also features carbon-aligned “Exo-Stringers” that allow natural torsion and a quicker response. The combination of Innegra fiberglass and other fabrics increases the strength and lightness of the boards.
LOST boards are manufactured in the Basque Country by the Olatu factory, owner of the Pukas brand, which also produces boards for the prestigious Al Merrick Channel Islands label.
