The LOST California Twin has been designed by MARK RICHARDS and MATT BIOLOS. They’ve teamed up to offer you a modern Twin Fin + Trailer Fish with some unique tweaks to create a modern MR. Classic lines, speed, and precision turns, with Mayhem’s small-wave performance prowess.
A modern fish with single to double concave, based on MR’s most popular modern shortboard … the SuperTwin. Mark gave Matt Biolos the honor of tuning his iconic #SuperTwin model to create an easy-to-use, modern small-wave weapon. Matt drastically lowered the entry rocker, widened the nose and tail block, and added a couple of inches of width to the overall outline, providing great glide in weak waves. The deck was flattened to keep stability, but MR’s classic fast, soft rails and modern high-performance tail rocker were retained … making sure it stays accurate and precise. Flat where it should be, but still with curves in the right places, and it planes along yet still turns in tight spots. This is a fish you can cruise on in tiny surf, but still tear it up.
CWT Carbon Wrap Technology construction:
The patented Carbon Wrap technology makes it possible to build surfboards that are incredibly light, fast and responsive without sacrificing durability. The EPS core has no wooden stringer; instead it’s replaced by carbon strips. These strips run from the nose of the board on the bottom side to the tail on the deck side, creating a unique flex that translates in the water into speed and drive. The board is then laminated with epoxy resin and biaxial fiberglass.
The LOST Carbon Wrap boards are made in the Basque Country by the Olatu factory, owner of the Pukas brand, which also manufactures for the prestigious Al Merrick Channel Islands brand.
Paint and tinted resin options:
The board can be decorated following the designs on the website lostsurfboards.net. If you want a special design, choose the appropriate option and, in the "Customize your product" tab, indicate the design reference and the desired colors.
