The Lost 3.0 STUB Driver is a completely new surfboard designed for everyday performance, developed in collaboration with Kolohe Andino. This board is an evolution of the DRIVER3.0, which has been refined over time and was recently released on the market.
Created for elite surfers seeking maximum performance, the DRIVER3.0 was mainly tested in World Tour waves, far from the typical 1′–3′ conditions many of us face every day. However, it left room for superior performance in smaller waves, giving way to the 3.0_STUB Driver, a high‑performance machine designed specifically for small surf.
Unlike the Sub-Driver, the 3.0_STUB does not feature vee in the tail. Instead, it has a continuous combination of rocker and concave. This key difference allows the board to maintain a more relaxed response compared with the DRIVER3.0’s rocker, while still feeling loose, fast, and easy to release under the back foot. This makes it ideal for fitting into small pockets or quick sections, perfect for small beach‑break waves.
The similarities in rocker, bottom contours, and overall outline keep the feel close when switching between the DRIVER3.0 and the 3.0_STUB, achieving the goal of delivering a consistent surfing experience.
Features compared with the DRIVER3.0:
- Relaxed entry rocker, with a slightly wider nose area.
- Relaxed tail rocker, with a gentle curve and a wider tail block (though not as wide as the SubDriver’s).
- More overall width, with thickness carried further into the nose and under the back foot.
- Deeper single-to-double concave combo, offering more lift, along with a rail curve tuned for smaller waves.
- Slightly flatter deck, with soft, forgiving rails.
Light Speed Epoxy Construction:
LightSpeed is a patented surfboard construction by LOST that uses lightweight EPS foam and high‑strength epoxy resin. It combines Rapid-Reflex carbon fiber and vibration‑damping Innegra fibers with a fine fiberglass cloth.
Reinforcement patches in the tail transfer energy to the rails more efficiently. It also features carbon‑aligned “Exo-Stringers” that allow natural torsion and a quicker response. The combination of Innegra fiberglass and other fabrics increases both strength and lightness.
LOST boards are manufactured in the Basque Country by the Olatu factory, owner of the Pukas brand, which also produces boards for the prestigious Al Merrick Channel Islands brand.
