The LOST Pocket Rocket is a high-performance surfboard, originally designed for Kolohe Andino in 2015 to excel in Europe’s varied beach breaks. After mainly riding the Driver and Sub Driver models, Kolohe asked for a board with a new rocker that would let him “sit deeper in the pocket and push hard, while still keeping speed through flat sections.” The result was the Pocket Rocket, a board with a smooth, continuous rocker that fits perfectly in the pocket, yet has enough concave to generate speed down the line and link flat sections. In addition, its tail curve allows for tight, sharp turns while maintaining forward drive.
Updated in 2018 after positive feedback from surfers like Griffin Colapinto, Yago Dora and Joan Duru, the Pocket Rocket now features key improvements: a slightly wider and more forgiving outline in the front, a more relaxed center rocker, crisp rails and squared-off tail edges, plus refined concaves and bottom curves. Size scales have also been adjusted, especially benefiting the “Bro” versions, which are now more accessible for average surfers seeking a high-performance shortboard, with a low, smooth rail without reducing overall volume.
Since its creation, the Pocket Rocket has been adopted by numerous professional surfers and travelers, including legends such as Taj Burrow and Bruce Irons, and rising talents like Jack Robinson and Mason Ho, who have pulled off impressive maneuvers in Indonesia and Hawaii on this board. Yago Dora has also left his mark on the Pocket Rocket, winning the Newcastle Pro and reaching the semifinals of the Oi Rio Pro in 2017, where he defeated three world champions.
The Pocket Rocket has become the benchmark “Pro-formance” surfboard from LOST Surfboards, offering the perfect blend of maneuverability and speed for demanding surfers in all kinds of conditions.
